In line with Yanmar Construction Equipment’s global plan of upgrading their current range of Excavators, Yanmar has again released an updated model superseding an old favorite – the Yanmar Vio80. As expected, the new Vio80-1 comes equipped with many of the current models functionality and features along with some new intuitive tools aimed at enhancing the user’s experience.
Under the performance box, new users can expect to see a significant increase in VI080‐ 1’s operating speed and overall performance thanks to the adoption of a new and powerful hydraulic pump. Excavating and dump loading speeds have increased 21% compared to the previous model making what was already an efficient excavator/loader that much quicker. To save on fuel and to conserve the environment, Yanmar has installed an ECO mode and auto-deceleration mode switch reducing up to 9% of users fuel costs and cutting down on carbon emissions.
The new Yanmar Vio80-1 has increased cabin space through a wider cab and larger leg room which in turn maximising user comfort. This sturdy ROPS cabin sitting on anti-vibration mounts also restricts noise and sound pressure to 72dB(A) and 97dB(A) thereby creating a quieter work environment.
Servicing and maintenance of the machine is made easier through the installation of a LCD action monitor. This unit monitors all daily maintenance requirements and if serviced correctly by the operator should ensure a high level of productivity and assist in preventing machine breakdowns. In addition, all servicing can be performed at ground level and with new engine cover locks, then all maintenance covers can opened easily without the use of tools.
