Why It’s Great To Sell Your Gear At An Event Auction

Event auctions are a great way to sell your goods because they are typically big, they draw crowds, and your assets will be exposed to more potential buyers.

There is normally an increased level of marketing activity for an event auction, helping ensure that the event and the auction are a success. More than anything else, they’re exciting, and a great way to network within the industry.

Diesel, Dirt & Turf takes place in May each year. In 2019 the Expo saw over 60,000 visitors attend with over 200 of the industry leaders exhibiting. For the fourth year running Pickles hosted the event auction, drawing in a great crowd with around 400 bidders onsite and online, auctioning an extensive range of goods, from boats and jet skis to excavators and tippers. Record values were achieved with 2 x 2010 Fuso FV Ex-Council Tippers selling for $79,000 each, as well as a 2014 Volvo ECR88 Excavator selling for $58,000. Pickles also auctioned generously donated assets from Kanga Loaders, Sydney Trucks & Machinery, Australian Hammer Supplies and Auger Torque Australia, to raise over $30,000 for the Ovarian Cancer.
