SDLG has become one of China’s fastest-growing manufacturers of construction equipment and has developed an internationally renowned brand which now spans more than 130 countries.
Established in 1972, Shandong Lingong Equipment (SDLG) recently celebrated its 50-year anniversary, which included the roll-out of the 500,000th SDLG Wheel Loader off the production line, and the opening of the SDLG Museum to commemorate decades of history. SDLG’s incredible 50-year event was also broadcasted to a live worldwide audience of more than 7.6 million.
As a member of the Volvo Group, the development and production of all SDLG machinery integrates the design influence and high-quality standards of Volvo Construction Equipment, with product expertise and after-sales support in Australia from CJD Equipment.
“SDLG machines are simple to operate and maintain, and are versatile, straight-forward machines,” says Andrew Egan, National Product Manager for SDLG at CJD Equipment.
“The general feedback is that they are very reliable and most importantly, SDLG is fully supported and maintained through CJD’s extensive national network of branches and dealers.”
CJD Equipment also offers a diverse range of products from iconic brands including Volvo CE, and boasts an extensive network of branches and dealers across the country.
Andrew says the SDLG and CJD Equipment partnership gives customers a reputable product with proper after-sales support, with 24/7 sales, parts and service support stretching across the nation – from capital cities to regional country towns and mining centres.
“It’s one thing to buy a machine that’s cost-effective, but all machines have the potential for unscheduled downtime. It’s a matter of how quickly you can get back on the road again and how much you can rely on the person that sold you the machine,” he says.
Andrew says SDLG machines have all the features and functionality you need for your day-to-day work, without the complex electronics found in other machines, and are deemed extremely reliable with their low maintenance, and ease and accessibility for service.
“They have all the safety features in the cab, and an ergonomic layout which makes it easier for the operator to use and are very versatile thanks to the factory fitted quick coupler and third function hydraulics which can accommodate a variety of different attachments,” explains Andrew. “Productivity is also enhanced with SDLG’s high torque, fuel efficient engines.”
Whilst SDLG manufactures a wide range of construction equipment, only SDLG Wheel Loaders are presently available in the Australian market through CJD Equipment. However, Andrew says that 2023 will see the expansion of the SDLG portfolio, including the new wheel loader range.
“This year we are looking to release several new wheel loader models,” he says. “Building on the success of an already outstanding range, the new H-Series will feature enhanced durability and superior comfort, with exceptional fuel efficiency and productivity.”
SDLG wheel loaders are available in five models, ranging from LG918 with 77hp through to the 217hp L958F. The models will include load handling capabilities from 1.8 to 5.2 tonnes, with dump heights from 2.5m to 3.1m, and come standard with a Volvo compatible quick hitch, third function hydraulics, and are also fitted with fully certified ROPS-FOPS rollover protection.
All wheel loader models also include an air-conditioned cab with a focus on practicality and operator comfort, and a wraparound pillarless front and rear windscreen for clear visibility.
Later this year, CJD Equipment is looking to bring in SDLG’s Mini Excavator range. All models come standard with zero or reduced tail swing, rubber tracks and load-sensing pilot hydraulic operated controls.
“We are looking at models ranging from 1.8 to 6-tonne, all newly designed by SDLG with comfort and reliability at the core,” Andrew says.
“These machines will be a great option for the construction industry offering optimal power and stability, without compromising on quality. Watch this space!”
