School holiday plans sorted with Dig It excavator park

Kids operating Cat excavators at Dig It mini excavator park

Dig It – Australia’s first ever mini-excavator park – will be open for digging seven days a week during the upcoming school holidays.

After opening at Queensland’s Tamborine Mountain in May, Dig It – just an hour from Brisbane and the Gold Coast in the Scenic Rim – has seen thousands of kids have the ‘best day ever’, sitting in the driver’s seat and operating their own mini-excavator.

Dig it gives kids the opportunity to graduate from the sandpit and dig just like a real construction worker in an outdoor construction zone – all while surrounded by nature at the scenic, family-friendly Thunderbird Park.

The park has been designed for both children and parents who love to play, featuring a range of activities designed to be fun, educational, and engaging. Kids will learn about the construction industry, earthworks, engineering, building, the importance of safety, and teamwork – all without an iPad or screen in sight.

Starring nine Queensland-built Cat Mini-Excavators, the Dig It experience is a two-hour, never-to-be-forgotten adventure in the driver’s seat.

Dig It’s holiday schedule

Saturday 16 September to Sunday 1 October – seven days a week.

Monday 2 October to Sunday 8 October – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:30am and 12:30pm sessions.

Two-hour sessions are $55 per participant.
