Remu Screening Bucket lifts LJD efficiency

A Remu Screening Bucket has allowed civil industry company LJD Civil  repurpose materials, breaking down soil and separating valuable components for reuse or sale.

The New South Wales-based business specialises in large-scale civil projects, backed by a fleet of more than 28 pieces of equipment supporting projects across the state.

It recently added a Remu Screening Bucket to the fleet, stationed at the business’ yard on the Hawkesbury, where it turns waste into reusable materials, significantly reducing disposal costs.

And it’s become a valuable inclusion. By repurposing the materials, the bucket allows LJD Civil to cut down on tip fees, which are a major expense for civil contractors.

Preparation of topsoil, composting, and recycling are the most common applications of screening buckets. The screened fraction obtained can be classified as a clean, high-quality soil free of oversize stone and other debris.

Buckets can also be used to mix sand, clay and compost to achieve the desired consistency required for a specific use.

Director Luke Duff saw the Remu Bucket, supported by ONIS Equipment, as a perfect fit for reducing costs and improving productivity.

“I love the bucket so far. We put it on a council job, and they had nothing but good feedback,” Luke said, showcasing how the bucket delivers both cost savings and high-quality output.

Beyond cost savings, the Remu Bucket has improved LJD Civil’s efficiency and environmental sustainability by recycling the materials on-site.

“Thank you for the attachment and service — we couldn’t be happier with the process,” a team member said, highlighting the smooth integration.

The Remu Bucket’s ability to produce a clean final product despite its size has also boosted productivity.

“We can’t believe a bucket this size can produce such a clean product,” the team member said.

ONIS Equipment Group Director Liam King — who holds more than 12 years of retail-facing sales experience — believes that his company provides the perfect cocktail for success moving forward in this industry.

He believes that many businesses have lost touch with how to service clients over the COVID period and that ONIS ensures clients receive the service they deserve again.

Remu and Onis Equipment have been working since early 2024 and it has already proven to be a fruitful cooperation.
