Loading ramps for every application

It may seem like a humble piece of equipment, but well-designed and secured loading ramps perform a major task in ensuring that equipment you have on site is delivered with safety, efficiency and in the minimum time.

Specialist manufacturer Jetland Ramps has been in the industry for many years, and there’s hardly any type of loading and unloading challenge that it hasn’t encountered.

The company’s design and engineering team has a deep understanding of the equipment used across many industries and applications in the process of not only new product development, but in producing ramp solutions for diverse, unique and custom applications.

While earthmoving equipment is a heavy, robustly engineered high value item that is designed for tough work, damage from loading and unloading accidents may result in expensive repairs to sensitive areas such as hydraulic lines or cylinders. Then there are potential injuries or other safety related issues, downtime and loss of reputation as a contractor.

When these issues are considered, it should be obvious proper transport equipment planning should include the best possible performing ramps to protect your investment, personnel on site and avoid costly downtime.

For many years Jetland has been right at the front when it comes to delivering reliable loading solutions across all types of industries throughout Australia.

Experienced operators fully understand the critical role provided by ramps in ensuring that today’s earthmoving equipment and specialist vehicles can be delivered safely.

As many will tell you, there’s often a surprise on site for those who have not prepared their ramp facilities for the appropriate conditions.

Safety first

When designing ramps, Jetland’s engineers always focus on meeting or exceed loading ramp safety standards.

In addition, all products have anti-slip surfaces to ensure maximum traction for vehicles and machinery during loading unloading.

The provision of locking pins is another safety element that ensures that ramps cannot move once locked in place.

The instructions provided by ramp manufacturers such as Jetland clearly point out that these must be observed and strictly followed for the correct installation and use of securing systems.

Pin and clips are supplied for a specific purpose and must be used if the ramps are to perform their job for which they have been designed.

Other safety considerations are the selection of correctly rated ramps that are matched for the size and weight of plant being loaded or unloaded, including attachments.

Other basic safeguards are ensuring that operators use seat belts throughout the loading and unloading process and making sure that ramps are correctly aligned with the wheels or tracks of plant being loaded or unloaded.

Deformed, fractured or damage to ramps should be taken seriously as these can impact their functionality. Regular inspection will ensure their safety has not been affected and only be used if they have been properly secured to the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

The ramps are easily transported.
