Kemroc a cut above the rest

The Kemroc range of excavator attachments are made with the highest quality components that ensure a high level of strength and reliability in demanding construction environments such as Australia’s.

Among the range of robust and durable products, cutter attachments are the German engineering company’s passion.

Backed by more than 20 years’ experience, Kemroc has become renowned for developing and manufacturing strong, robust cutters for excavators and backhoe loaders.

The implements work reliably and efficiently in almost any material. Steel, concrete, rock, wood – wherever Kemroc cutter attachments are used, material is removed safely and accurately.

In Australia, all Kemroc attachments are available on Australia’s east coast through Coast 2 Coast Attachments (C2CA), and on the west coast through Monty Products Australia (MPA).

C2CA Managing Director Luke Preston said that of note, the brand’s traditional style rotary drum cutters with spur gears are designed to be extremely robust, and continued to set the standard all over the world.

“These cutters are supplied by Kemroc under the KR range,” he said.

“Effective dust control is particularly important in demolition and tunnelling applications,
and the KR range of cutters are designed for the installation of an optional, hydraulically controlled water jet dust control system.

“Currently, C2CA and MPA stock the complete range of Kemroc KR drum cutters to suit machines from two to 45 tonnes.”

And now, he said this concept was being expanded with the addition of Kemroc’s new rotary drum cutters, the EKT range and the KRD range.

Conversion from a rotary drum cutter to a chain cutter and vice versa.

EKT range

Luke said the lower-priced EKT range of traditional-style drum cutters are supplied as rotary drum cutters without a central cutting chain, but conversion kits are available for the larger units so that cutter chains can be fitted later.

Recommended for 2-70t excavators, they are suitable for trenching and pipeline work, mining of soft to medium hard minerals, and are often used for concrete renovation, profiling, underwater excavations and tunnelling.

“The 10 models in the range comprise two motors for extra hydraulic power; tough, rigid gearbox housing; drums supported on robust bearings; and protection for hydraulic hoses,” Luke said.

KRD range

The KRD range of direct drive drum cutters are compact, lightweight but strong.

Lighter and shorter, Luke said these attachments are ideal for use on long-arm excavators for demolition and shaft sinking applications and can also be used for soil stabilisation and concrete renovation applications.

Intentionally oversized bearings have been used to support the cutter drums for a long operating life.

Dealer details

Both C2CA and MPA are the exclusive distributors in their respective regions, and between the two, have a network of sub-dealers around the country to sell and service the complete range of Kemroc products.

“Both companies have more than 25 years’ experience in the mining and construction industries, positioning them to provide complete attachment solutions for their customers.

As well as the Kemroc product, MPA is also the official distributor in WA & NT
for Montabert rock breakers and drilling equipment. C2CA are the official distributor for the complete range of Rotar demolition and recycling attachments in Australia and New Zealand.

“Together both MPA and C2CA are also the Australian dealers for Oilquick automatic quick coupler systems. Oilquick is set to be a game changer in the Australian market as it allows the operator to change between bucket, hammer, Kemroc and any other attachment in a matter of seconds without leaving the cab,” Luke said.
