Kobelco Construction Machinery Australia is proud to announce that long-term dealer, Sydney Trucks and Machinery (STM) has acquired Siteworx Machinery in Wollongong. This new division of STM will be renamed South Coast Trucks and Machinery (SCTM)

Kobelco General Manager, Sales and Service, Doug McQuinn supports the move and looks forward to helping STM’s newly-acquired Kobelco dealership to grow into the future.

“This move will strengthen STMs footprint for sales and service of Kobelco machinery into the South Coast, Illawarra and the ACT.”

STM is a large supplier to the construction, earthmoving and truck industry. When it came time for them to expand their operations into other parts of NSW, Roy Papallo STM’s Sales Manager, said it was Siteworx’s strong reputation in the local industry that made them an attractive acquisition.

“STM is a successful, reputable family business that has been in operation since 1974. We saw in the Siteworx team many shared values including a strong focus on product expertise and delivering on customer needs. It’s great to welcome the new members of our team to the family,” said Roy.

South Coast Trucks and Machinery’s Sales Manager, Ray Collings will continue to lead the team to ensure a smooth transition and that customers in the Illawarra, South Coast and ACT regions continue to get the outstanding level of service they’re familiar with.

“On a day-to-day level nothing will change. The same team our customers have always enjoyed working with will continue to deliver the same high standard of service. In fact, the team will have access to a wider network of stock and parts making service times shorter.”

“When Siteworx Co-Director, Carol Collings and I entered into this agreement, it was very important to us to ensure that the business our team worked so hard to develop would continue to grow. We’re confident that South Coast Trucks and Machinery will continue to service the local industry effectively,” said Ray.

One of SCTM’s first objectives will be to identify and relocate to new, larger premises in the Wollongong area with larger and improved sales, service and spare parts facilities.
