All-rounder Anthony Worth from Crushing and Screening Equipment talks about how a Hidromek loader and excavator excelled for his business.
Originally from Wollongong, Anthony was born and raised in the steel manufacturing industry. Even as a young boy, he was fascinated with machinery and always had a spanner in hand.
He began his diesel mechanic apprenticeship at the steel works in Port Kembla, where he gained invaluable experience in various manufacturing practices, including fabrication, mechanical rebuilds and repairs, and production cost analysis.
Anthony has drawn on his extensive knowledge to build a successful family business, named CSE (Crushing and Screening Equipment).
The company specialises in fabrication, engineering, repair and rebuild solutions for the extractive industry, as well as crushing and screening contracting.
The team, consisting of 15 people, operates primarily in Queensland, servicing the entire state, and are currently located in Mackay and Mt Isa.
With such a deep understanding of the industry, it’s challenges and production costs, CSE can add value through providing advice, repairs and cost-effective solutions.
CSE’s current fleet includes a range of equipment, from crushing and screening machines to earthmoving equipment such as wheel loaders and excavators.
And for this successful small business, its work has really spoken for itself, with most clients discovering CSE through word-of- mouth recommendations.
In his business dealings, Anthony was already familiar working with the Onetrak team at Caboolture.
CSE owns a Striker HQR1112 impact crusher and has it serviced through the Caboolture branch.
So, when an opportunity came up for a six-month project recently, discussions with Onetrak began.
“Colin, the Territory Manager for Onetrak in Queensland, came up with a proposal to rent equipment from Onetrak that made perfect sense,” Anthony said.
“Although I hadn’t driven or owned any Hidromek equipment before, after visiting the branch and speaking with David Hazell, Onetrak’s Managing Director, we decided to hire a HMK640 wheel loader and an HMK410 excavator.”
The Hidromek heavy-duty loader, equipped with a Mercedes engine delivering 324 HP and 1600 Nm torque, boasts a substantial 26.3 tonnes operating weight and 5 m3 bucket capacity.
“We found the wheel loader to be powerful, fast and very economical,” Anthony said.
“The operators found it quite comfortable and comparable to the other brands they have in their fleet. We were especially happy with the bucket size and I found the steering wheel control preferable, although some of my staff prefer the joystick controls.
Anthony also praised the HMK410 excavator, citing its stability, computer screen, and impressive cycle times for its size.
“Overall, we are pleased with the machines,” Anthony said.
“The machines are reliable and efficient, and the rental contract includes servicing, which was a huge relief. Onetrak has provided excellent service and support, with their staff promptly resolving any issues that arose.
“I would definitely consider renting from Onetrak again in the future.”
Onetrak offers a vast selection of new and used heavy equipment for purchase or dry hire at competitive rates.
The company understands that different jobs need different equipment, which is why it provides the flexibility needed to meet job demands, with industry-leading productivity and performance.
Onetrak can help businesses grow by designing solutions tailored to rental needs, while managing risk and controlling costs.
When businesses rent from Onetrak, they can trust that they are supported by a strong and experienced national network of branches who understand their needs, giving peace of mind. Contact the team on 1300 727 520.
