Government sees economic benefits of Western Sydney Expo

Spotlight on Western Sydney as Expo attracts Australian and international visitors.

Community leaders have welcomed the Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo that will focus on the latest advances in equipment and resources designed to increase performance and productivity in the earthmoving, construction and contracting industries.

Representatives of Government have expressed their support for the Expo that reflects the dynamic growth and infrastructure development being experienced throughout the Western Sydney region.

The Event is free and open to all visitors. It is being held from April 15th to 17th on the grounds and in the pavilion of the Penrith Panthers Club.

The Hon. Stuart Ayres MP, New South Wales Minister for Trade, Tourism & Major Events, Minister for Sport said, “New South Wales is Australia’s Number One economy and nowhere is this more evident than in the rapidly growing business environment of Western Sydney.

“Our massive infrastructure agenda including major transport projects are improving investor confidence which is leading to commercial and residential growth in the region.

“It is a hugely busy time in this wonderful part of Sydney and there is no better exemplification of this than the Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo coming right here to Penrith.

“The Expo will help boost Penrith’s profile through exposure to large numbers of overseas business representatives and interstate industry leaders.

“The Penrith region is seeing the benefits of this event in terms of accommodation bookings, employment and business opportunities.

“The companies who have invested in this event are to be highly commended for their enterprise, foresight and effort in bringing this major annual event to Penrith.”

The Expo is a major drawcard for anyone who works in the construction industry or who just enjoys checking out big equipment at close quarters. Continuous machinery demonstrations and an operator competition will be popular in the purpose-built demonstration area throughout each of the Expo’s three days.

As well as heavy equipment, attachments, vehicles, support systems, finance and accessories, visitors of all ages are being well catered for with displays of the latest in ‘boy’s toys’ such as the hottest bikes and boats, trucks and cars.

Visitors will be entertained by the Flair Riders Stunt Show, while the popular television series ‘BlokesWorld’ will be filming the expo to produce a one-hour episode that will go to air later in the year.

There are food and hospitality areas where visitors will be entertained with live music playing throughout the day. For the family there’s a huge jumping castle, rides, face painting, a Little Big Rigs live display and more. Further details at www.dieseldirtandturf.com.au .
