Get the right machine for the job

Kobelco adds new Tier 4 Final excavators to product range.

As discussion continues around Australian engine emission regulatory requirements, Kobelco Construction Machinery Australia is ensuring its dealers and customers have the option to choose between Tier 3 and Tier 4 Final excavator models.

In announcing the addition of models featuring Tier 4 Final engines, Kobelco General Manager of Sales & Service Doug McQuinn said that the brand has a long history of pioneering fuel-efficient technology that balances environmental initiatives in its excavator line.

“This new range of Tier 4 Final compliant excavators is the next step in our engineering evolution, and these machines meet the requirements of NSW EPA licensed businesses,” he said.

Models configured with Tier 4 Final engines range from mini through to heavy excavators and include the recently-announced 13-tonne SK135SR-5 mono boom and offset boom excavators, which are particularly popular for jobs requiring continuous digging, swinging, and loading in tight spaces.

Renowned for their durability and strength, Kobelco excavators come with a great warranty. Mini excavators up to 5.5 tonnes have 4 year / 4000 hour full warranty, and excavators 7 tonne and larger have a 2 year / 3000 hour full factory warranty. Further, all Kobelco large excavators have 4 year / 6000 hour extended power train (EPT) warranty.

“We anticipate increased demand in the Australian market for Tier 4 Final excavators, but for customers who prefer Tier 3 machine technology, we’re still able to offer the market that option,” Doug said.

“Either way, the launch of this new range gives the customer choice and ensures that there’s a Kobelco machine fit for purpose. Kobelco’s independent and experienced dealer network means that, when buying excavators, customers can receive and depend on quality advice and service.”
