Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG), Chinese construction machinery company is setting about building its local presence, as it seeks to provide its customer-base with an enhanced level of back-up and support.

Founded in 1989, XCMG’s operations span a number of areas, including construction machinery, mining machinery, heavy trucks and machinery components, underpinned by a strong focus on research and development, with its international outlook seeing it selling products in 183 countries and regions worldwide.

Roy Rossini, XCMG Deputy General Manager for Australia – who brings over 36 years of industry experience to the role, having been appointed towards the end of last year – describes it as “extremely exciting, and a privilege, to be part of such a large and fast-growing organisation as XCMG”.

Roy highlighted XCMG’s team focus and pointed to customer satisfaction as being its main priority.

“XCMG are able to offer our ever-growing Australian market the models required through our continually growing R&D centre, whilst also offering a quality spare parts supply, along with the technical support required, to service the Australian marketplace,” he commented.

“We at XCMG have a quote: ‘XCMG For Your Success’. Success in this industry is always built by team effort – we offer our team to help you achieve your success.”

XCMG’s local product range covers a number of different lines, including excavators, loaders, rollers, skid steers, motor graders, scissor lifts, mining excavators and mining trucks, with it stating that its sales process spares “no effort in helping you to select the right equipment and realise the optimal value of the equipment you purchase”.

XCMG’s Australian line-up includes nine excavators, spanning a variety of different-sized tracked and wheeled models, decked out for a range of purposes and working conditions, including the smaller XE17U (weighing in at an operating weight of 1,795kg) and the XE35U (4,200kg operating weight) tracked machines.

Meanwhile, among its larger-sized excavator models, XCMG’s offerings include the XE490DK (48,100kg operating weight), which it states “adopts advanced design and manufacturing methods”, based on years of research and development, and the XE210U (21,000-23,000kg operating weight) machines.

In the loaders category, XCMG’s Australian range encompasses 12 models, including its XC948 wheel loader (15,900kg operating weight), which it states has been developed for the Australian market and describes as “comfortable in operation, fuel-efficient, reliable and durable.” Other loader models in XCMG’s local range include its new-generation XC958 (18,000kg operating weight) and XC998 (30,500kg operating weight) wheel loaders, which it states are decked out to deliver power, energy efficiency, safety and comfort.

Supporting its product line-up, XCMG provides a training service for initial installation with every piece of machinery, and is committed to providing a year-round, 24-hour aftersales service – while, with thousands of spare parts centres located across five continents, stocking almost one billion specialist spare parts, it states that spare parts will be delivered within 72 hours.
