Supplying a broad range of OEM and aftermarket parts, new market entrant Earthmoving Supplies provides customers with solutions, consolidated in one operating environment.
Launched in April, Earthmoving Supplies is a new Australian-owned and operated business that addresses a persistent problem within the industry – offering customers access to an extensive range of parts via a digital platform with global reach.
The company’s offering is a major boon for mixed fleet operators looking for a variety of parts across multiple makes and models. Earthmoving Supplies provides unprecedented access to new unused parts for all OEM and aftermarket brands, and all makes and models in a single location.
This new approach gives customers a genuine alternative to the traditional purchasing process by eliminating the tedious task of approaching multiple suppliers and OEMs individually.
Using an online platform that aggregates information and supply channels, Earthmoving Supplies provides customers with a single, safe source to fulfil their entire parts list. The online marketplace provides a range of tools, making it easy for customers to upload their requirements in bulk, cross-reference data, and pull parts from common rebuild scopes. Using the power of analytics, the company can match demand with supply and supply with demand for parts remarketing value creation. The website’s easy-to-use interface drives a positive experience and alleviates customer stress.
In addition to Earthmoving Supplies’ extensive parts catalogue, it can assist companies remarketing excess and surplus parts under consignment, along with inventory and warehouse management services.
“Because we understand that customers are often time poor, we have created a platform to improve the delivery of that service experience for parts availability,” says Phil Pollock, Earthmoving Supplies Director of Strategic Partnerships.
“For sellers, Earthmoving Supplies’ digital platform provides an eco-system that proactively addresses for OEMs, dealers and customers the ongoing challenge of new, unused parts that are excess to demand and allows sellers to remarket those on a local, regional, and global basis.”
The company is the brainchild of a handful of people who have worked in the machinery and components industry for numerous years. Having identified a significant global problem, they saw it as the perfect opportunity to combine their technical, operational, and technological expertise to build a solution.
The founding leadership team comprises a group of industry experts with a breadth of local and international experience across mining and equipment. With a significant background in heavy machinery, Phil Pollock, Director of Strategic Partnerships, has held multiple executive roles with Caterpillar Inc, including Global Director for Construction Industries Aftermarket Business, and Asia Pacific General Manager for Construction and Infrastructure.
Ben Hailes, Director of Sales, has held several senior management roles in Australia’s leading investment managers, including Macquarie Bank, Brookfield Multiplex, and BT Financial Group. Introduced to heavy earthmoving and mining industries in 2012, Ben was engaged as the General Manager of Orionstone (now Emeco), then one of Australia’s largest heavy earthmoving rental businesses.
Operations Director Daniel Fedder has spent his career in the mining industry, working through mining cycles on both the miner and buyer sides, and the seller and supplier sides. He has global procurement experience in copper, coal, and zinc mining and has multi-category procurement experience, namely in capital equipment and mining consumables.
With two decades of experience in information systems, Adrian Vinnicombe, Director of Innovation, has worked across the financial services and heavy equipment industries. Having attained a Masters in Project Management, Adrian has led a broad range of projects in the information systems field, including the design and implementation of systems in financial services, transaction processing, and asset management.
Earthmoving Supplies uses the same technological IP that drives its sister company, ComponentsONLY. By expanding upon the IP that sits at the core of ComponentsONLY, the co-founders were able to develop a new business that supports a global market for heavy earthmoving equipment parts.
With data at the core of everything it does, Earthmoving Supplies supports the industries that move, build, and power the world by providing any part, any brand, anywhere.
