Doherty Set To Impress

Doherty

The team at Doherty Couplers & Attachments will have their latest and best for visitors to get a first-hand experience of the company’s new innovations.

After the record-breaking success of the 2016 expo, Diesel, Dirt & Turf is looking to be even bigger and better this year with the addition of even more exhibitors, more live demonstrations, the hugely popular operators’ challenge and a performance by the motor-cross trio, the Freestyle Kings.

Doherty Couplers & Attachments is set to impress visitors with the display and demonstrations of the company’s latest and most popular gear, including the new combined Snaplock+ Coupler and Tiltrotator unit, the recently launched Powerdig Series buckets, the Snaplock+ Tilt as well as their custom manufacturing capabilities.

“The Steelwrist tiltrotator with the Doherty Snaplock+ Coupler is the most technologically advanced yet user-friendly tiltrotator available in the market,” explains Key Account Manager Damien Gow. “The new combined unit is a big step forward for the industry.”

As an independent unit, the tiltrotators deliver precision and smoothness as well as rotation and tilt functions. Combined with the Snaplock+ Coupler the total system facilitates productivity and versatility, allowing operators to take on a much wider variety of projects without changing attachments.

The Powerdig Series will also be an important feature at the exhibit as the recently launched buckets have been causing a lot of talk in the industry already.

Designed to maximise breakout and minimise fuel usage, the shape of the Powerdig cuts through the ground with minimal resistance while the deep, double-radius design achieves maximum payload.

As Gow explains, “The unique shape means you can actually fill the bucket to 100 per cent capacity so the result is a bucket which digs faster and reduces fuel consumption.”

Based in New Zealand with a wholly owned subsidiary in Australia, Doherty Couplers & Attachments is also one of the few manufacturers globally to offer quick couplers fully-compliant to Australian standard AS4772-208, European EN474 standard, ISO13031 international standard and all major contractor policies. The Snaplock+ Coupler features a Dual Pin Locking (DPL) system ensuring attachments remain securely engaged on both pins in the event of loss of engagement force.

Doherty is also well known for its Snaplock+ Tilt and custom manufactured gear. Examples of both will also be on display for visitors to discuss with the friendly team onsite.
