DDT 2020

Diesel Dirt& Turf 2020 – 16th to 18th October !

Plan now for Australia’s biggest industry event.

Like many exhibitions and public events, the National Diesel Dirt &Turf Expo is planning for when the New South Wales government relaxes its social distancing regulations as a result of COVID-19.

The Expo has been rescheduled for Friday October 16 to Sunday October 17, 2020.

Earthmoving Market Remains Strong

Donna Shaw of ShawX Manufacturing said, “Our business has not really been affected by the COVID-19 situation, and certainly we have many customers whose business is booming in the current environment.

“When the coronavirus arrived, we had some thoughts that it may affect the construction industry, however the opposite has proved true. We are extremely busy producing and selling our specialised attachments across many markets such as mining and earthmoving equipment.

“Our whole sales team is flat out servicing enquiries and production running at full capacity. Based on current indications,  that situation should remain. The majority of our market is commercial construction and that market has a strong demand for the tools that we manufacture.

“We remain optimistic about the business for the rest of the year, however our planning includes some discussion on contingencies if the situation changes. At this stage everything is fine.

“We are a proudly Australian manufacturer that sources everything from within Australia because we firmly believe in Australia’s manufacturing future. It’s not always easy to achieve this goal, however this is our philosophy,” Donna said.

Lionel Smitka from Digga/Kanga agrees.

He said product demand in the Australian market was extremely strong, with construction projects showing no signs of slackening off and likely to continue for the foreseeable future.

“The current level of enquiries is extremely strong. Part of the reason for this may be because many people are staying at home and undertaking their home improvement projects that may have been planned for some time,” said Lionel.

“Our Kanga customers, who are predominantly smaller contractor businesses, are as busy now as they have ever been and this trend shows no sign of slackening off. Similarly, medium- sized businesses and other companies who are involved in civil works are also very busy, with demand for equipment remaining buoyant.

“Basically, our Australian business has been unaffected by the coronavirus situation and we see the strong demand remaining with this for the foreseeable future.”

Australia’s Biggest Earthmoving Expo

Now in its 5th year, the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo has become firmly established  as the premier earthmoving industry event that continues to attract support from all market sectors in earthmoving, infrastructure, residential development, public works and public space management.

Virtually every major earthmoving brand as well as accessories and services are represented, therefore anyone involved in supplying services to the industry finds it an unmissable event.

All The Big Brands

Only at Diesel Dirt & Turf can visitors check out such a huge range of earthmoving equipment at the same time and in the one place. The National Diesel Dirt &Turf Expo is the best place to be part of the excitement of being up close to large earthmoving machinery, attachments, GPS and digital management systems, accessories and finance.

Here is where you will see everything you need for site preparation, excavation, landscapes, infrastructure, and public spaces. There is the latest technology for excavators, loaders, mowers, grounds maintenance equipment, trailers, trucks and associated services.

Expo management said, “Whether you are a project manager, business owner or you are just interested in construction equipment, you need to be there. You cannot afford to miss out on this annual event if you want to ensure your business remains efficient and competitive in today’s challenging construction  environment.”

Free Entry And Free Car Parking

For your convenience entry is free and there is plenty of car parking. As long as New South Wales has relaxed its social distancing regulations in time, don’t forget to bring the whole family because there are many attractions and great facilities to keep everyone occupied for the whole three days.

There are spaces for relaxing and enjoying a wide variety of food, entertainment and the excitement of motorbike stunts. There will never be a dull moment.

The Expo is also a great place to catch up and develop those important networking relationships. It’s a unique environment that combines high-level industry professionalism with a relaxed field day atmosphere.

Register For The Educational Seminar

The Sports Turf Association, NSW (STA NSW) is hosting a free full day educational seminar before the Expo on Thursday October 15. Anyone from local council areas or with an interest in local government can register for a series of highly informative sessions presented by industry experts on matters relating to public space maintenance, sports grounds, and other educational topics associated with playing fields, parks and more.

This is a great opportunity to update your knowledge and appeal to local government and municipal works managers and supervisors, parks and gardens managers, greenspace managers, educational institutions and anyone interested in the latest developments in this market. A list of the program, presenters, session content and timeframes will be published shortly.

Operators Challenges

Also returning for this year’s Diesel Dirt &Turf Expo is the ‘Operator’s Challenge’. This popular event has become a real crowd pleaser with all operators able to enter the excavator or loader challenge with the chance to win big cash prizes. Sessions are run every day and visitors enjoy watching the fierce competition and the chance to win the prestigious trophy that comes with the prize money.

Auction Is A Big Crowd-Pleaser

The Pickles auction has become a popular part of Diesel Dirt & Turf and there will be a huge range of gear on offer again this year.

When it comes to major investment in machinery, attachments, software systems and finance options, being well informed is critical to the success of your business. Many major equipment suppliers, contractors and fleet operators agree there’s no better way to compare equipment features, benefits and finance deals than spending time at the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo.
