Caterpillar® will present its electrification and energy solutions at global tech conference CES 2024 from January 9 to 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The company’s exhibit will highlight its electric machinery and energy solutions designed to meet the changing needs of its customer base, including electrification, alternative fuels, connectivity, and digital solutions to assist its customers in achieving sustainability goals.
Senior Vice President Rod Shurman, of the Electrification + Energy Solutions division, expressed excitement about returning to CES to exhibit the company’s progress in energy solutions.
“This event is known as the proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators which makes it the ideal place for us to showcase our leadership in power systems and integrated service solutions to help our customers in the energy transition,” he said. “We’re putting our expertise to work on multiple advanced power technologies to enable the energy transition solutions that our customers need to be successful in a reduced-carbon world.”
The exhibit will feature the Cat® R1700 XE LHD underground loader, a zero-exhaust emission vehicle with a rapid charging capability and the industry’s only onboard battery. The company’s 301.9 mini excavator, the first to include a Caterpillar battery, will also be showcased.
Visitors to the Cat booth will also have the chance to explore sustainable power generation solutions, such as generators running on renewable fuels, solar panels, and hydrogen-powered fuel cells. The XEX60, a compact energy storage solution, will also be shown.
Additionally, visitors will see the Cat 750V Electric Motor and Inverter, which contribute to the functionality of various machinery and power systems. Caterpillar’s digital solutions for machine application, battery monitoring, and servicing will also be highlighted.
