The Australian Bulk Handling Expo (BULK) will be held this year at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, from September 18-19.
After a successful Expo in 2022, BULK2024 will continue to connect ‘people to people’, and ‘businesses to businesses’.
The event will showcase a range of exhibitors, offering solutions that will help the bulk solids handling industry move their products, both domestically and internationally.
The Expo will include an expansive trade show, highlighting the latest solutions for the industry, as well as an informative two-day conference equipped with tools and strategies for businesses to prepare for a rapidly evolving industry and world.
BULK2024 Show Director Lauren Chartres said the event was the only dedicated Australian expo for producers of bulk commodities such as grains, coal, iron ore, cement, and animal feed.
“The bulk handling industry is a vital part of Australia’s economy, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share,” she said.
“To have all these exhibitors under one roof is not only a great place for business opportunities, but a fantastic occasion to network within this essential industry.
“Industries around the world are revolutionising as technology becomes more connected. Industry 4.0, automation, and artificial intelligence have the potential to radically change the way businesses operate.
“Stakeholders from a broad range of sectors will share their insight and expertise on how to stay at the cutting edge of technology and avoid being left behind.”
Lincom Australia
One exhibitor that will be back in 202 is the Lincom Group, the parent company for a specialised range of businesses supplying quarry, mining, recycling and forestry industries with the sales, service and hire of screening, crushing, bulk handling, shredding, grinding and water treatment equipment.
Lincom Group marketing manager Renata Hjelmstrom provided some insight into what the company looked forward to seeing at BULK2024.
“For us, the BULK trade shows are always a highlight of the year. It’s not just about displaying our products and services; it’s an opportunity to exchange ideas and develop connections with industry peers,” Renata said.
“We are looking forward to meeting with customers to discuss their challenges and demonstrate how our solutions can help overcome them.”
Lincom supplies more than just earthmoving equipment: it also offers after-sales support that covers the entire life cycle of a machine.
“For Lincom, the theme of engineering solutions represents our commitment to innovation and excellence,” Renata said.
“We partner with leading OEM manufacturers worldwide to solve industry challenges and anticipate future needs.
“We take a hands-on role with our customers, offering tailored advice and expert guidance to determine the most effective solutions for their unique challenges. Our goal is to foster successful outcomes that improve their operational efficiency.”
Lincom is looking forward to joining BULK2024 and experiencing all the event will have to offer.
“We hope that attendees leave BULK2024 with a deeper understanding of the innovations shaping our industry and how these advancements can enhance their productivity, safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability,” Renata said.
“With many like-minded professionals present, we hope that attendees will take the opportunity to network and learn more about the various businesses and their offerings at the expo. This event is a prime opportunity for industry members to connect and share knowledge that could lead to future collaborations.”
The themes of the Expo are Reducing Downtime, Increasing Productivity, the Internet of Things, Safety and ESG.
“Reducing downtime and increasing productivity are at the core of what we do,” Renata said.
“By focusing on minimising downtime, we ensure that our customers can maintain continuous operations with fewer interruptions, which is crucial for achieving higher productivity levels.
“Our solutions are designed to maximise uptime and output, enabling our customers not only to meet but often exceed their production targets.”
