Blake Machinery Group has been the exclusive dealer for Hydrema dump trucks on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia for the past four years. During that time BMG has sold over 40 machines, ranging from the standard Hydrema 912ES to the Hydrema 912HM.
The 10-tonne articulated dump trucks are proving to be very popular because they can be configured to suit many applications, including the normal dump truck, water truck, concrete agitator and an off-road tray truck.
They can also be fitted with hi-rail equipment suitable for construction and maintenance of railway lines and tracks. Their low ground pressure, 180-degree dump load ability excellent ergonomics for the operator, and their ability to be an efficient rail machine are just some of the reasons they are so successful.

The machines Hydrema create are unique,agile, robust, and known around the world for supreme performance, ease of use, low weight and great durability. High-quality Hardox steel is used to construct the dumper body, and high tensile steel is used in the fabrication to achieve a low tare weight whilst retaining durability. Another bonus is the Cummins engine and ZF transmission. Unique to Hydrema is the pendulum bar centre pivot with double hydraulic stabilisers.
This design ensures excellent stability while driving and when tipping the body and allows +/- 12 degrees oscillation. BMG has multiple Hydremas in its hire fleet, including a 912ES water truck. This machine in particular is on a civil construction site in NSW and is perfect for assisting with dust suppression in the estate. There are approximately 45 of BMG’s Hydremas throughout the eastern states for which BMG Parts Department also stock parts. Through having the Hydremas in their hire fleet, BMG Parts have deeloped service kits – with the help of the Service Department – to suit BMG requirements so they can ensure the fleetis ready to go at a moment’s notice. These kits are available for all Hydrema customers.There is also a range of frequently used parts such as v-belts, wiper arms and blades, mirrors, rear cardan shafts, bonnets and hoist cylinders stocked in the warehouse.
Blake Machinery Group has Hydrema trained fitters who are fully qualified to all service and repairs and they stock new parts for Hydrema machines.
BMG staff often fly to Denmark to visit Hydrema HQ and catch up on the latest and greatest information about new Hydrema parts and machines – soon to hit Australian soil are the Hydrema MX16 and MX20 rail excavators, as well as the new 707G seven tonne dump truck. Keep an eye out for those.
