ASV, the industry-leading brand of innovative and unique compact track loaders for more than 30 years, is set to release four new models into Australia in early 2025.
Sure to make an impact in the industry are the new generation ASV RT-65 Posi-Track compact track loaders; the VT-75 Posi-Track compact track loaders; and the mid-sized VT-80 and VT-80 Forestry compact track loaders, all powered by Tier 4 Final Yanmar engines.
The RT-65 (radial lift)
This model is redesigned in every facet over its predecessor and brings numerous productivity, ease-of-use and performance benefits.
The midsize machine is ideal for contractors and owner-operators in the landscaping and construction markets.
It’s in fact a brand-new radial-lift machine with new hydraulics, engine, controls, wiring, pumps, hoses, frame and more. The improvements maximise power from the compact track loader’s 67.1-horsepower engine and optional 101 lpm high flow.
A highly efficient hydraulic system and direct drive pumps transfer more flow and pressure directly to the attachment, resulting in a 907kg rated operating capacity 2591kg tipping load.
The VT-75 (vertical lift)
The vertical-lift, 74.3-horsepower machine excels in at-height work, loading trucks and many other tasks in construction and landscaping applications.
Filled with a variety of comfort and productivity features and technologies, the midframe compact track loader provides a premium experience while allowing operators to complete more work in more places.
Projects go more smoothly with the VT-75. Like the RT-65, the 3769kg track loader’s Yanmar engine transmits more power and flow directly to attachments.
A three-metre lift height combined with a 1043kg rated operating capacity and 2980kg tipping load makes jobs like loading over the side of high dump trucks an easy and productive task.
The VT-80 and VT-80 Forestry (vertical lift)
These vertical lift machines are designed to give operators the tools they need to excel in landscaping, construction and forestry applications.
The 4061kg VT-80 and 4375kg VT-80 Forestry provide the best power and performance in their class and offer a 1270kg rated operating capacity.
These new models set a new standard for operators by equipping them with essential tools to get the most out of their attachments.
Standard hydraulic flow has been increased to 93.5 lpm while high flow of 130 lpm can be utilised.
These two new machines are designed with a slightly smaller overall machine footprint compared to previous models, allowing them to work in tighter spaces.
Key features include:
- Vertical lift advantage: Greater reach at max-height without loss of performance, ideal for loading trucks, dumping and other at-height work.
- Flexible polycord tracks: Conforms to the shape of the ground for superior traction and does not break from continuous bending.
- Best-in-Class ground clearance: Allows operators to traverse over tough terrain. Designed as an entry-level mulching machine, the VT-80 Forestry excels in both forestry and landscaping applications.
This model takes on all the advanced features of the VT-80 and adds specialised capabilities for forestry and land-clearing operations. It includes a heavy-duty forestry package, which protects critical components from damage by debris and flying woodchips.
The reinforced door and polycarbonate windows provide extra protection for the operator, ensuring safety in the most challenging conditions.
Additionally, the VT-80 Forestry comes equipped with a high-capacity cooling system to manage the increased heat generated during forestry applications. The hydraulic system supports forestry-specific attachments, such as mulchers and stump grinders, making the VT-80 Forestry an indispensable tool for professionals in the forestry industry.
Comfort and operator experience
As MAX-SeriesTM models, the four new machines provide all the premium comforts associated with that class.
The cab improves comfort, productivity and safety through a variety of standard features.
Premium 360-degree visibility means less effort keeping an eye on the attachment and surroundings, improving both the quality of the work and jobsite safety.
Safety is further enhanced with roof escape hatches, one of the first included on a compact track loader.
Operators work in comfort during longer days with intuitive and ergonomic electronic controls.
A seven-inch colour display consolidates various switches as well as improves access to monitoring tools, the view of the optional backup camera and the ability to keep track of service schedules and history.
Additionally, a fully adjustable and suspended seat accommodates more body types, improving comfort.
ASV Posi-Track undercarriages
All the models of course come with ASV’s flagship Posi-Track rubber track undercarriage, which achieves maximum traction and mobility.
It includes a suspension system made up of two independent torsion axles per undercarriage, allowing for a smooth ride over every type of terrain and speeds as fast as 14.6 kmh.
The torsion axles allow the flexible track to maximise contact with the ground, increasing pushing power and lowering ground pressure as low as 4.2 psi.
This optimal weight distribution means greater performance in steep, wet, muddy and slippery conditions. It also contributes to less risk of damage to sensitive turf.
Optional telematics system
Monitor machine locations and other vital information with Yanmar Smart Assist Remote.
The service includes features ranging from error detection and notification to real-time operational status updates and daily work reports. Owners also benefit from integrated theft protection, allowing users to set a range from a specific location and trigger an alert if the machine moves outside of that range.
Serviceability
ASV builds its models to allow operators to spend more time working and less time maintaining their machine.
ASV makes this possible with industry-leading access, including a swing-out radiator, top hood and side doors that provide access to all sides of the engine compartment, including filters and other daily checkpoints.
Additionally, the machine’s cooler swings out with the door, allowing easy access for cleaning. As well, the Yanmar engines can be serviced from top to bottom at one of the many ASV Posi- Track dealers throughout Australia, providing a one-stop shop experience for maintenance needs.
In summary
The ASV brand built its reputation on innovation as the creators of the USA’s original compact track loaders.
Now powered by Yanmar and its 100-year history of proven reliability, these ASV compact track loaders combine the power, performance, comfort, and serviceability needed for every jobsite.
